Treetop height living! For a retired entrepreneurial couple that dream became a reality with the completion of their penthouse in Freudenstadt, combining a panoramic view of the countryside with clear architecture. The architare team was commissioned to furnish their new home with Barbara Benz and her team developing the optimal design concept for the clients including selected furniture from B & B Italia and Moroso.
Design with a view
"We wanted to change the house and garden for an apartment, but in no case compromise on individuality and privacy," says the owner of the house.
Together with the carpentry firm Ade, they planned and produced the interior fittings for the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom as well as built-in cupboards that also function as walls. Architare was commissioned with the furnishing of the new residence. Peter Hauber, head of Architare's Nagold office, developed the optimal design concept for the design-savvy client incorporating an exciting mix of furniture from Moroso and B &B Italia.
The Redondo sofa by Moroso, draped in velvety soft fabric corresponds with the turquoise wooden shingles of the living room wall and is particularly popular with the residents. The Husk chairs by B & B Italia also combine modern comfort with individual design.
Perhaps the most defining highlight of the apartment is the outdoor terrace. With all-round glazing, the terrace offers a spectacular view of the surroundings. The Architare team combined the minimalist Forest chairs with a custom-made dining table in white Corian to take pride and place in this wonderful outdoor space.
