What is known today as a box-spring bed was developed by the Schramm manufacturers back in the 1950s and has been continuously perfected over the decades: The two-mattress system or the three-mattress system in the "Grand Cru" product line forms the centerpiece of the company. The customised beds and sleeping systems are still made by hand using traditional methods to this day.
