How it all began: The love for design is in the family DNA
architare was founded in 2007 by Barbara Benz. The daughter of the successful furniture entrepreneur Rolf Benz has an inherited passion and love for furniture and furnishings in her genes. In an interview, Barbara Benz said "Born into a furniture family, I inherited design with my DNA, so to speak”. But before Barbara opened the first architare store in Nagold, she was drawn to other influential parts of the world. After studying business administration, the current managing director of architare Barbara Benz GmbH & Co. KG worked in various roles for international advertising agencies in Milan, New York and Stockholm.
