CHALET Alpine tradition and comfortable ambience. Barbara Benz and the architare team set about creating a modern feel-good space with a captivating mix of styles in a holiday home located in Gaschurn, Austria.

With furniture by Walter Knoll, B&B Italia and Vitra, lamps by Foscarini, Le Klint and Gubi and traditional fabrics by the Austrian textile manufacturer Fine, anyone entering the chalet of Sandra and Philipp Ambruch in Gaschurn situated at the foot of the Piz Buin will immediately senses the harmony emanating from the house and its furnishings. By combining timeless furniture classics, modern design elements and Alpine flair, the skillfully implemented mix is what inspired the Ambruch couple from the very beginning.

Three months from conception to moving in

The Stuttgart couple had battled for four years to get planning permission for their 300-square-metre chalet, thus making the interior design a matter of urgency. They placed the concept in the hands of Fleiner Möbel by architare in Stuttgart. Their target was a start to finish time frame of no more than three months should pass between the starting signal, a detailed customer discussion with architare employee Verena Dreisbach (Dipl.-Ing FH Interior Design), and moving in. The Ambruchs wanted to celebrate Christmas in their new holiday home.

Good advice takes individual wishes into account

Soon after their first visit to architare, Verena Dreisbach presented her interior concept to the clients by utilizing a professional visualisation. Floor plans, collages including product images and extensive material samples for each room helped the clients to get a real sense of feeling for their future home and its eventual atmosphere.

Predominantly the individual wishes and requirements of the customers were taken into account. Sandra and Philipp Ambruch emphasized great importance to the use of traditional and natural materials. The stone floors, wooden fixtures as well as the curtains and cushions made of linen and cotton display this requirement today. They give the ambience with a visually pleasant feel-good flair. On the other side of creativity, the chalet owners appreciate modern interiors with aesthetic restraint and timeless elegance.

Professional visualisation and on-time delivery

"We were very enthusiastic about this presentation," Philipp Ambruch looks back. "Such comprehensive and professional preparation promotes the imagination enormously." Three months later, the on-time delivery also confirmed to the clients that they had made the right choice with architare. "We were able to celebrate Christmas in Gaschurn. It was an incredible moment when we walked into the fully furnished house for the first time."

A place to switch off and relax

The living room is particularly popular with the residents. The impressive air space is illuminated by the Cirio Chandelier chandelier by Santa Cole. As in the entire house, you have a wonderful all-round view of the Silvretta and the Piz Buin. By letting the feel-good ambience and the fantastic views take effect on you, it will not take long to notice how the hectic pace and stresses of everyday life simply fall away. The ambience transforms negative tension into positive energy. This effect that can be experienced by guests who can rent the entire four-bedroom house except for the privately used apartment of Sandra and Philipp Ambruch.
