The Breuninger Flagship Store in the heart of Stuttgart is a glamorous temple to consumerism with an extensive history. It is a meeting place in the weekends, tourist magnet, and an idealised space which offers distraction and inspiration. The women’s shoes department offers everything the heart desires – from Ludwig Reiter boots to Jimmy Choo high heels.
Breuninger Heels Bar
This is why the café bar is called “Heels Bar”, designed by Barbara Benz and her team in the basement of this El Dorado of shoes. Colourful Liz chairs and black Lox tables by Walter Knoll invite worn-out shopping queens to sit down; elegant bamboo screens shield them from the curious looks of passers-by.
