Cool and competent: The new building of SACS GmbH First-class aviation systems are developed at the new location of the SACS Boysen Aerospace Group in Empfingen. The quality demands of the furnishings of the two-storey administrative headquarters are equally ambitious.

Barbara Benz and her team rely on excellent quality for the interiors: leather-upholstered Exec-V writing desks and Lead Chairs by Walter Knoll for the management offices, complemented by the flexible USM Haller system furniture, various Vitra Chairs – and tailor-made for both managing directors – a paper basket of double-sided saddle leather.
The bright orange gives the dark leather a warm touch.
Dare to be colourful: The elegant conference group, consisting of Lox swivel chairs and a leather-upholstered Keypiece desk by Walter Knoll is contrasted by the Fleiner Möbel by architare team with bright orange-red container furniture by USM Haller. These in turn stand in relationship with the colour of the building’s façade and the colourful pop-art images that are interspersed throughout the building. The closed offices with four to six workspaces each for employees in Quality Assurance, Controlling, and Accounting are located one floor down.
The open entrance area on the second floor houses the small, fancy coffee bar of the management. Here, business partners and visitors can take a seat on the Lox bar stools by Walter Knoll; Walter Knoll furniture also dominates the large conference room. The contractors opt for an extra-long Keypiece table and high Lead Chairs with caramel-coloured leather upholstery.
The offices at the ground and first floor are fitted with Vario systems. Barbara Benz and her team combine these with ID Trim Chairs by Vitra. The cabinets with apothecary pull-outs at the end of the writing desks serve a practical double function: as screens for the employees while at the same time offering useful storage space. In the ground-floor cafeteria, high Arco tables offer a welcome alternative to a seated lunch with colleagues.
