B&B ITALIA – How it all began
In 1966, Piero Ambrogio Busnelli founded his company B&B Italia in Novedrate, Como, realizing his vision of an “industry of design”. With technical innovations and designer collaborations, B&B Italia created style- defining furniture in the years that followed and established itself as one of the leading design centers in the world. Today the company, led by Busnelli's son Giorgio, is still a leader in the Italian furniture industry.

DESIGN CLASSIC – from B&B Italia
Right from the start, B&B Italia has worked with renowned designers and architects. In 1969, the company created the legendary “UP” armchair with Gaetano Pesce, which revolutionized the conventions of the Italian design scene.

Antonio Citterio, who came to B&B Italia as a student, also designed numerous pieces of furniture, including the legendary “Charles” sofa , the “Eileen” table series and the “Harry” sofa series. Mario Bellini was also able to tie Pierro Busnelli to B&B in the early years. Other renowned designers, such as Patricia Urquiola, Zaha Hadid, Philippe Starck, Piero Lissoni and Jasper Morrison, shaped the unmistakable style of B&B Italia in the following decades with their more than 1,000 designs.

OUTDOOR COLLECTION – from B&B Italia
Iconic design also characterizes B&B Italia's outdoor collections. The excellent designs by renowned designers create flowing transitions between indoors and outdoors and are at home in villas and summer houses around the world. Garden furniture from B&B Italia can be used to create stylish outdoor dining, lounge and pool areas.

“Erica” by Antonio Citterio is almost a classic. The special outdoor weave gives the chairs, armchairs and sofas an elegant lightness and, like the aluminum frame, is robust and weatherproof. Textile seat cushions ensure comfort. There are also numerous other outdoor collections from Piero Lissoni, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Urquiola. The “Charles” sofa system , the brand’s bestseller and long-time seller, is now also available in a version for outdoor use.

NEW PRODUCTS – from B & B Italia
B&B Italia, still owned by the Busnelli family, still embodies the Italian lifestyle today with a harmonious combination of playful originality, technical precision and generous proportions.

2012 SOFA BERND: This sofa by Patricia Urquiola looks as if it was shaped by an artist and is based on intensive studies with 3D models.

2013 BED HUSK: With the headboard in a quilt look, the bed by Patricia Urquiola, which is only available in one size, becomes a nest.

2019 ARMCHAIR ALLMORA:The Scottish-Indian designer duo Doshi Levien has designed an armchair for B &B Italia. The result is comfortable and extravagant.

2020 SOFA CAMALEONDA: The seating landscape designed by Mario Bellini in 1970 came onto the market in a re-edition and became a very popular motif on Instagram.

2021 TABLE ALLURE O‘: Monica Armani's table collection with square or rectangular top and beveled edge is available in glossy and matt lacquer and many shades.

2022 ARMCHAIR BAMBOLA: The armchair is part of the "Le Bambole" series from 1972. The re-edition is made of recycled polyethylene and the latest generation of materials for complete recycling.

2023 B&B ITALIA NEW OUTDOOR - FURNITURE: B&B Italia expands its outdoor collection with four products designed by outstanding international designers: Nooch by Piero Lissoni, Allure O'Outdoor and Flair O'Outdoor by Monica Armani, Cordoba Outdoor by Foster+Partners Industrial Design Studio.
