VERNER PANTON
1967 / 2005
The Panton Chair is a chair designed by the Danish designer Verner Panton that first came onto the market in 1967. The chair was one of the first to be made from a single piece of plastic, which was a revolutionary approach at the time. The Panton Chair was available in many bright colors and quickly became a symbol of the Pop Art movement of the 1960s. The Panton Chair Junior is a smaller version of the legendary Panton Chair, designed specifically for children. It was first brought onto the market in 2005 by Vitra in collaboration with the Panton Estate. The chair is made from a single piece of polypropylene and is available in a range of vibrant colors that are appealing to children. Its rounded shape and smooth surface also make it easy to clean and resistant to scratches and damage.
