Originally designed in 1969, Anna Castelli Ferrieri's Componibili system consists of modular, stackable plastic elements that serve as storage elements. They were revolutionary back then in their flexibility and functionality and have lost none of their popularity to this day. In 2019, a special edition of Kartell's Componibili system was released , made from biodegradable bioplastic. This special version of the Componibili system is a more environmentally friendly alternative to the original plastic elements and shows how design has evolved in modern times to take sustainability and environmental consciousness into account.
