Humans are the real engines
so the saying goes at Porsche. Whether they are sitting in a fancy sports car or in a design studio thinking of brilliant new ideas. And so, at their location in Weissach, the company above all stimulates the creativity and daring of their workforce.
The sports car manufacturer recently invested 150 million in the new development centre with design studio, wind tunnel, and electronics-integration centre. Here, interdisciplinary thinking and acting is at the core of it all. And so, the architare team also ventured into new territory with the furnishing. Of course there are three classic meeting rooms where the employees now meet on super comfortable leader armchairs by Walter Knoll.
However, where do colleagues most often meet – often spontaneously and unexpectedly? On the stairs! Which is exactly why these were turned into a colourful meeting place in this think tank of shiny white: pink, green, and turquoise-coloured seating poufs invite to a spontaneous exchange of ideas on two floors. The same applies to the high standing tables and the leather barstools in the tea kitchen. The interior enthuses the design team, for after all, mobility and progress are at the heart of the company’s business.
