The new motto of the IHK in Pforzheim is transparency. A concept that is also reflected by the consistent interior design. The decision of the IHK Pforzheim management to tear down the familiar structures of their individual offices can be considered a minor revolution. The successful trio of planning office (as the planning company), manufacturer (Vitra), and idea generator (architare) convinced the contractor: during reconstruction, the cubicles were opened up one by one, floor by floor, thus newly structuring the work processes in the redesigned spaces.

Now, all employees benefit from communicative islands and attractive spaces: Employees meet at the printing centre, one of the meeting rooms fitted with Vitra furniture, or on one of the comfortable Eames Plastic Chairs for lunch. The uniform furnishing optically and haptically fuses the in- and exterior of the cafeteria together. The fresh green of the bamboo grove in the courtyard matches the fresh green colours of the interior: Bright-green wall panels create intimacy; fresh green plants sprout up here and there between the Vitra ID Chairs and the elegant 369er lounge seats by Walter Knoll. Smooth walls that radiate yellow extend throughout the airily transparent staircase like one large block stripe. The rest of the décor is in clear white with black accents.
