Whether classics by Le Corbusier, contemporary furniture icons by Patricia Urquiola or the elegant outdoor collection: the Italian brand Cassina has stood for the highest design expertise since 1927.

CASSINA CLASSICS – “Maestri” collection
The most famous design classics from Cassina are undoubtedly the LC collection by Le Corbusier. These are high-quality armchairs, sofas, chairs and tables as well as a chaise longue that the Swiss architect and designer developed in the late 1920s together with Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret.
Numerous other renowned designers and their designs shaped Cassina 's success story. For example, Charles Rennie Mackintosh with the Willow Chair (1904), Gerrit Thomas Rietveld with the designer armchair Red and Blue (1918) or Mario Bellini with the Cab Chair (1979) - to name just a few.
As different as the strong designs are , what they all have in common is the demand for the highest quality and excellence.
CASSINA TODAY – „Contemporanei“-collection
At the end of the 1990s, a new generation of designers followed at Cassina. Including Philippe Starck, Piero Lissoni, Konstantin Grcic. Her furniture is grouped under the “Cassina I Contemporanei” collection.
Patricia Urquiola has been creative director at Cassina since 2015. Under the motto “Look back to move forward”, the well-known Spanish designer Cassina transformed classics such as the Red and Blue, Utrecht and Wink armchairs. However, not the design itself, but the materials and colors were changed in order to adapt the iconic furniture to today's needs.
Designs have now also been added, such as the wing chair "Gender" (2016), "Beam" , a sofa system (2016), and the "Floe" island sofa (2017).

FAQ ABOUT THE CASSINA BRAND
WHAT FURNITURE IS AVAILABLE FROM CASSINA?
Whether chairs, tables, sofas, beds or conference and desks: Cassina offers the right furniture for both private living areas and for furnishing offices and companies. There is also a home accessories collection with vases, lamps and carpets and the Cassina outdoor collection with innovative garden furniture by Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni and Philippe Starck.
CASSINA REISSUES MANY CLASSICS. HOW DO THEY DIFFER FROM THE ORIGINALS?
With classics such as the Red and Blue armchair by Geritt Thomas Rietveld or the armchair by Le Corbusier, the design itself is not changed. However, the materials and colors are partly transformed and adapted to today's sense of style.
HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER A CLASSIC SUCH AS THE CHAISEL LONGUE BY LE CORBUSIER IS AN ORIGINAL BY CASSINA OR A PLAGIARIA?
All Cassina furniture from the “I Maestri” series , which also includes the Le Corbusier chaise longue , can be recognized by the following engraving: the Cassina emblem and the collection, the exact name of the respective model, a continuous one Serial number and the designer's signature. The embossing is always in the same place - on Le Corbusier's lounger, for example, it is on the underside of the chrome frame at the head end.
